# Stages of an ecological brick build: tiling, frames and installations

*Building works* · Flooring, tiling of wet areas and electrical and plumbing installations done through the holes in the brick.

In this phase, the interior flooring and the tiling of the kitchen and bathroom are laid. It is an important stage, because it keeps the masonry from absorbing water in these wet areas.

In the bathroom, the tiling goes up to 2 m in the wet area and 1.20 m in the dry area; in the kitchen, up to 1.50 m. Never forget the necessary waterproofing, both on the subfloor and in the setting mortar.

When the masonry went up, all the electrical and plumbing marks already lined up with the holes in the soil-cement brick itself. So all the electrical work is done, and the kitchen sink, the bathroom washbasin and toilet are installed. The frames, hardware and fixtures are installed too. In the kitchen, the counter that separates the rooms (kitchen and living room) is built in this phase.

With that, the house is practically finished and ready for painting, the final stage.
